Doha, May 06 (QNA) -HE Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Jabor Al-Thani, Assistant who is also Chairman of the Standing Committee for Organizing Conferences has underlined that the State of Qatar will always be committed to the rule of law and supportive to all initiatives to develop the rule of law. HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohamad bin Jabor Al Thani was speaking at the closing session of the Qatar Law Forum, which was held here over two days in the presence of some 400 lawyers, and experts in the financial sector and academics from around the world. He thanked the participants in this forum which was held for the second time in Qatar to discuss topics of global concern such as combating corruption, economic , political and social development, and in order to seek to define a global standard. The Forum, he said was held at a time when the Arab region was witnessing changes and reforms accompanied by instability that negatively affects economic and social situation and which accordingly affect the global financial situation. He added that the legal obligations of government for the protection of economic, social and cultural rights must be accompanied by the design firm to defend the civil and political rights. He stressed the need to achieve the best state of political stability and the rule of law. He said that good governance is to achieve the ideal goal through a lot of constitutional reforms in accordance with economic, social, political, and legal bases He also highlighted the important and essential role of international courts in the development of the concept of rule of law "which seeks to achieve economic, social, cultural rights, he said.
