Qatar Charity Names Two New Ambassadors For Humanitarian Work

Doha , April 23 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) on Tuesday named HE Secretary-General of Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Saud Bin Abdul Rahman and Television Presenter Mohammed Saadon Al Kuwari Ambassadors of the organization's humanitarian campaigns. HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman and Al Kuwari will take on their new roles in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative in Pakistan, as part of the agreement signed today between Qatar Charity and Melinda Gates Foundation. Based on that agreement, Qatar Charity will throw a fundraiser in support of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), that aims to eradicate polio worldwide by 2018. The Qatari organization will also raise fund to support efforts to provide anti-polio vaccine to children. The agreement made between Qatar Charity and both of HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman and Mohammed Saadon Al Kuwari will extend to QC's projects in the education, health, women, culture, aid and combatting poverty among others. The new QC Ambassadors both of them are popular figures in the sports and media fields. (QNA)
