Qatar Charity Launches QAR 5.5 Mill Assistance Program to Tunisia

Doha, February 25 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) has launched a QAR 5.5 million assistance programme that includes rehabilitation of some schools, health centres and poor families' houses in the most needy areas of Tunisia. QC said in a statement today that this programme, which was launched in Tunisia's Zaghouan State, includes improving houses for 37 impoverished families in the states of Zaghouan and Jendouba, providing in-kind assistance for 22 poor family, rehabilitation and equipping of 4 health centers and 3 elementary schools in Zaghouan and maintaining a road in one of the poor neighborhoods. The programme also includes constructing appropriate houses for 25 families, currently living in huts. The Governor of Zaghouan State extended thanks to Qatar Charity and expressed his readiness to provide the necessary assistance to facilitate QC's mission in the region. Qatar Charity announced, few months ago, launching a large developmental programme in Tunisia at a cost of QAR 55 million. (QNA)
