Qatar Charity Installs QR 600,000 Project In Aid To Syrian Refugees

Doha, July 04 (QNA) - In the context of its "Syria Cries for Help" relief campaign, Qatar charity has accomplished a new aid project worth of QR 600,000 in relief to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The project came to aid up to 1000 families (5000 Persons) of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon including the distribution of 1000 food supply packages worth of QR 220,000 along with the distribution of financial aid worth a total of QR 263,000, to some 360 families. The project was carried out in Lebanon via a charitable organization in Akkar. Executive Director of QC's International Operations, Mohamed Al-Adsani said in a statement released Wednesday the project came in line with the QC s Syria relief campaign that seeks providing immediate assistance to Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey. He said the campaign, which allocated a total of QR 26 Million, is carrying out projects that contributed in the relief of 100,000 Syrian refugee families at the abovementioned countries. QC has earlier approved a total of QR 6,500,000 to implement relief projects for Syrian refugees in Turkey. The projects were inclusive of six-month financial aid to 1500 families, in addition to the establishment of five makeshift clinics in a bid to ensure medical assistance to those in need especially to patients suffering from chronic diseases. Donations to QC could be given at QC s Headquarters or branches within the state, collectors in commercial complexes, texting the word "SYRIA" to 92632 to donate QR 50 or to 92642 to donate QR 100. Also donations could be sent to the following banks: Al-Masraf, account No. (100024470) and Al Rayyan account no. (0003104824100). (QNA)
