Qatar Charity ,FAO Sign agreement

Niamey, June 17 (QNA)- Qatar Charity office in Niger signed an agreement with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Monday to distribute more than 350 tons of improved seeds for 23 ,000,300 poor families farmers in Niger. The improved seeds had distributed to 163,000 people of 155 Nigerian villages by Qatar Charity, costing QR.1.600.000, in areas hit by the drought. said The agreement was signed by the Representative of FAO office in Niger Doale Waiss Aboubaker and Muhammad Taher al-Suaibeqi, Director of Qatar Charity office in Niger, Al-Suaibeqi said this agreement comes within the framework of a series of agreements between Qatar Charity and FAO ,some of which have been implemented in the past years, while others will be carried out in the coming periods,pointing out that the society is seeking, through its distinguished partnerships with international organizations and local partners, to reach a wider sector of segment of poor families in Niger and other poorest countries in the world. He noted that Qatar Charity, which enjoyed the confidence of its international and local partners makes, enabled it to implement important agreements with the UN organizations. Qatar Charity confirmed that it is discussing with the UN agency two other projects that will be implemented in other locations in Niger in order to support small farmers and train them after the start of the new agricultural season this year.(QNA)
