QATAR Charity Commends the Humanitarian Initiative of Pan-Arab Games' Organising Committee

Doha, December 07 (QNA) - The Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Charity Yousef Ahmed Al Kuwari has praised the humanitarian initiative announced by the Organizing Committee of the Pan- Arab Games -2011 due to open in Doha on Friday. The initiative is represented in allocating the proceeds of tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies and the athletic competitions to the charity institutions inside the State of Qatar. He described in a press briefing he gave here on Wednesday , such an initiative as reflecting the human side of sports and embody its constructive and positive interaction towards the charitable work. It also strengthens its partnership with the distinctive human institutions.... "We will have a better impact on the efforts of charitable organizations in alleviating the suffering of the needy, and will return the best results on the Qatar Foundation on their implementation of humanitarian and relief projects in Qatar and beyond," Yousef Ahmed Al Kuwari told reporters. It is worth to mention that the Organizing Committee of the Pan-Arab Games Doha 2011 announced yesterday the allocation of proceeds from tickets of the opening and closing ceremonies and the athletic competitions of the said tournament to charity institutions in Qatar. The decision of the Committee came in support of these institutions, which play an active role in the field of charitable work of various kinds, and for its efforts in the interest of many groups in society and its important role in helping the needy.
