Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Signs MOU with Slokav Chamber

Doha, November 16 (QNA) - Qatar's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) signed here on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in trade and industry with Slovakian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The memorandum was signed by Vice-President of Qatar's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Tuwar Al Kuwari and for the Slovakian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The signing of the memorandum came on the sidelines of a joint meeting organized by the Chamber between the Qatari businessmen and a delegation of Slovak businessmen currently visiting Doha under the SCCI chairmanship of Beatty Maihok. The goal of this meeting is to promote trade cooperation between Qatari businessmen and their Slovak counterparts in various several areas including energy, oil and gas, technology and infrastructure as well as imports and exports. Al Kuwari said in a speech during the meeting that the State of Qatar looks forward to supporting the economic and trade relationships with Slovakia through the exchange of information and experiences, pointing out that this meeting provides a good opportunity to discuss and consult on the most appropriate ways to establish strong business relationships contributing to the achievement of development in both countries. He stressed that the meeting between the Qatari businessmen and their Slovak counterparts is considered a serious and sincere attempt to support and strengthen relations of cooperation and trade exchange between entrepreneurs from both countries. Al-Kuwari added that "Qatar's Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the Qatari business community successfully, confirming that the State of Qatar has an ideal environment for investment, adding that the Qatar Chamber, in its capacity as the traders first house, is the best partner for these investments." He said Qatar is preparing to organize the World Chambers Congress 2013 in Doha. " Therefore it was important to focus on improving and developing services of the business community and the adoption of regional and global policies for improving the investment environment in the country. For his part, the Slovakian President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry praised the developments currently under way in Qatar, and congratulated it for winning the bid to host the Congress of Global Chambers 2013. He added that his visit to Qatar was aimed at boosting trade relations between the two countries and the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will help building new relationships between the Qatari businessmen and their counterparts in Slovakia.
