Qatar Chamber Adopts New Visual Identity
Doha, May 15 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry has adopted a new visual identity and abridged its name to 'Qatar Chamber' to reflect the transformation the umbrella organization of the country's business community has gone over the last year.
Speaking about the new corporate identity, HE the Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani said, "The new corporate identity gives fresh thrust to the Chamber's mission of supporting and representing the business community in Qatar, especially the Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and developing the local private sector through knowledge transfer, counselling and research."
Qatar Chamber has evolved significantly over the years, Sheikh Khalifa said. "Today our organisation has gained international exposure and has a portfolio of more than 28,000 members and more than 80 employees. The new identity reflects who we are today and the organisation we endeavour to be tomorrow."
Besides simplifying the name the new logo has a multi-layer of Qatari flag colour crescents which form the letter 'Q', signifying the tides of growth lapping at Qatar's shores. The maroon colour represents the spirit and energy of the organisation while the curved edges convey activity and optimism, the Chamber said.
The new visual identity, developed by a Bahrain-based branding consultancy, will be officially rolled out internationally starting September 2012 through a media campaign to promote the 8th World Chamber Congress which will take place from April 22 to 25, 2013 in Doha, the Chamber said. (QNA)
