Qatar Calls for Independence of Judicial System

Abu Dhabi, November 29 (QNA) - Qatar's prosecutor general Dr Ali Bin Fetais Al Merri underscored on Tuesday the principle of judicial independence and the need for an independent general prosecution in order to realize full independence of the judiciary system. Addressing the 5th meeting of the prosecutors general of the GCC in Abu Dhabi he called for efforts to unify the judicial systems of the GCC. Qatar proposed recommending to the next GCC summit to realize independence of the judicial system and to separate it from other authorities. (QNA)
