Qatar Cabinet Holds Regular Meeting

Doha, November 23 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al Thani on Wednesday presided over the Cabinet weekly regular meeting held at its headquarters in the Emiri Diwan. Following the meeting HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for the Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud said the Cabinet considered the following topics on the agenda : First: Approved the draft decree allowing the national and international Islamic banks, which have contributed in financing the Gas Company Limited (Barzan Gas Project) to acquire fixed assets in Qatar. Second: Approved the draft Emiri decision organizing medical treatment abroad. Third: The Cabinet considered the two topics and took the following decisions: 1- A memorandum by the Minister of State for Internal Affairs on the annual report of the permanent committee for emergency for the period from April,1 2010 to March, 31 2011. 2- A memorandum by the Justice Minister to study the Counter-Terrorism international conventions and protocols, which are not yet ratified by the State of Qatar. Fourth: Approved the proposal of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to hold air transport talks with the Republic of South Sudan. Fifth: Approved a draft agreement for economic, trade and technical cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Panama. Sixth: Take the necessary measures to ratify the Convention between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the mutual exemption of visas to holders of diplomatic passports. (QNA)
