Qatar and Saudi Arabia Sign Minutes of Preparatory Committee Meeting

Doha, March 04 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and Saudi Arabia today signed minutes of the joint meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the fourth session of the Qatari-Saudi Joint Coordination Council. The minutes were signed for the State of Qatar by HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah and for the Saudi side by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs , Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani. The signing of the minutes was attended by Qatar's ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HE Ali bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud and, Saudi Ambassador to Qatar Ahmed bin Ali Al Qahtani and a number of officials from both sides. HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs said in a statement to reporters after the signing that the meeting of the preparatory committee for the fourth session of the Qatari-Saudi Joint Coordination Council discussed all matters and topics of interest to the two brotherly countries in all fields of cooperation including, among others, political consultation, the field of economy and investment, infrastructure, and education. He said "We have a unit of measurement for each preparatory meeting of the Committee, and we always find that the relationship is progressing from one stage to another, stressing that the meetings were very positive. He added "leaders will meet this evening to complete the talks, and the results are always fruitful in these meetings. He explained that the cooperation and the signing of agreements between Qatar and Saudi Arabia is an ongoing process and never stopped, pointing out that the joint committee supervises the implementation of what is agreed upon what the two brotherly countries, to develop aspects that you need to be developed and to add things that are to be added. Responding to a question by Qatar News Agency (QNA) HE Dr. Al-Attiyah described the Qatari-Saudi relations as distinct and special, adding that " we always follow up the implementation of what we agree on in order to keep this relationship at the height of excellence. For his part, Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani said the Committee's meetings were fruitful and positive since it began yesterday. He said that the minutes of the preparatory committee covers all the different areas of cooperation between the two countries, in political, economic , trade or investment and the like. Dr. Madani noted that the meetings were held in a spirit of brotherhood, understanding and affection, emphasizing that such a spirit was not surprising for Council since its inception. In a similar statement Dr. Madani said cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Qatar and understanding between them will continue to increase and to become stronger in the future. Al-Attiyah gave a speech in which he praised the Qatari -Saudi relations, saying the committee's meetings are progressing from the best to best, and the two sides have went a long way in terms of the implementation of the projects they had agreed upon. Addressing the meeting Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani said that cooperation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia and meetings between them prevail in a spirit of brotherhood, pointing out that the draft minutes of the meeting covers all the aspects agreed upon.(QNA)
