Qatar and Hungary Sign Agreement

Budapest, January 18 (QNA) - An agreement was signed between governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Hungary on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Financial Evasion with respect to income taxes. The agreement aims at establishing further economic cooperation and encouragement of investment through the exemption of Government investments and air transport companies from taxes, and avoid duplication of payment of taxes on trade and investment activities and services in the two countries. The agreement was signed on behalf of the government of Qatar by Jassim Muftah Al-Muftah, Director of Public Revenues and Taxes at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and on behalf of the Government of Hungary by Jolla Blhinger Minister of State for tax and financial measures. The signing ceremony was attended by HE Mubarak bin Rashid Al Buainain Qatar's Ambassador in Budapest and the delegation accompanying the country and senior officials of the Hungarian Ministry of National Economy.
