Qatar Advisory Council's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee Mulls Draft law On Haj and Umrah Services

Doha,May 27 (QNA) -The Advisory Council's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee held Monday a meeting at the White Palace under the chairmanship of its Rapporteur,Nasser Rashad Serayae Al-Kabai The committee completed the study of the draft law regulating the practice of Hajj and Umrah Services and decided to submit a report thereon to the Advisory Council.(QNA) -- Qatar Advisory Council Reviews Draft Law on Weapons, Ammunitions and Explosives Doha, May 27 (QNA) - The Advisory Council held today its weekly regular session under Council Speaker HE Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting Secretary General of the Council HE Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read out the agenda of the meeting which has been approved. The Council, then, endorsed the minutes of its previous session. Afterwards, the Council reviewed a draft decree-law amending some provisions of Law No. 14 of 1999 on arms, ammunitions and explosives and decided to refer it to the Internal and External Affairs Committee to study it and submit a report thereon to the council. The Council later discussed the following reports: 1 - A report by the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on decree-law No. 3 of 2012 on licensing the Ministry of Economy and Finance to establish two Qatari joint stock companies and to conclude agreements with them for the issuance of Islamic bonds. 2 - A report by the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on decree- law No. 11 of 2012 on government regulation of the sale and purchase of chemicals and petrochemicals produced in the State of Qatar. 3- A report by the Services and Public Utilities Committee on a draft law amending some provisions of Labour Law issued by Law No. 14 of 2004 and decided to refer its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet.(QNA)
