Qatar Advisory Council's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Meets

Doha, May 27 (QNA) - - The Advisory Council's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee met here today at its White Palace headquarters under its Rapporteur Mohamed Ajaj Al-Kubaisi. The committee continued the study of a draft law on tax on the revenues of hotels and tourist restaurants. The meeting was attended by the Director of the tax and general revenues department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Muftah Jassim Al-Muftah, the head of the ministry's tax and general revenues policies department Salih Youssuf Al-Mulla and international tax consultant at the ministry's tax and general revenue department Salih Qaidi. The Ministry of Economy and Finance's officials explained the ministry's viewpoint on the draft law and responded to the committee's members inquiries thereon. The committee decided to submit a report on the draft law to the Cabinet. (QNA)
