Qatar 2022 Committee Meets Delegation of Swedish Energy Companies

Doha, January 14 (QNA) - The Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee met Monday with a delegation of Swedish energy companies to discuss a number of issues related to Qatar's hosting of the World Cup. Director of International Relations Ahmad Nimeh headed a delegation of Qatar 2022 representatives, while the Swedish delegation was led by Director General of Swedish Energy Agency Erik Brandsma. The Swedish delegation consisted of 10 companies specialized in clean technology. The Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee had held a number of meetings with leading companies in the field of renewable and sustainable energy, in a bid to limit the Carbon print of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The committee had also signed a number of cooperation agreements with its local partners in a bid to ensure that Qatar's hosting of the 2022 World Cup will be a successful one. They also signed agreements with local partners in a bid to contribute to realizing the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
