Q-Post, Arab League Sign MoU

Cairo, January 29 (QNA) - Qatar General Postal Corporation (Q-Post) signed here on Sunday a memorandum of understanding with the Secretariat of the Arab League to borrow the holdings of the Arab Philatelic Museum for two years, on the occasion of the Universal Postal Conference and meetings of the Universal Postal Union scheduled for next September. The MoU was signed by the Chairman of General Postal Corporation, Abdulrahman Al Aqili and the Arab League Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs, Ambassador Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri Al Aqili stressed the importance of the MoU and said, "We appreciate keenness of the Arab League officials to choose distinguished stamps selected by experts to be displayed in this global event." He pointed out that each Arab country will send a selection of copies of its stamps to be used as a reference saying that the conference will be accompanied by an exhibition to showcase stamps collections which reflect the heritage of the Arab culture . For his part, Ambassador Al Tuwaijri praised Qatar experience in hosting such important international events including the World Cup 2022.(QNA)
