Public Security Chief receives Swiss delegation

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): Public Security Chief received today Head of the Human Rights Department at the Swiss Foreign Ministry Véronique Haller and Deputy Head of Division Middle East North Africa Thomas Gürber, in the presence of non-resident Swiss Ambassador to Bahrain Etienne Thévoz. He updated them on the Interior Ministry's efforts to maintain security and stability while safeguarding human rights, freedoms, justice and welfare for all citizens in Bahrain. He also briefed the delegation about the ministry's modernisation strategy of all security bodies through massive training, cutting-edge equipment and technologies and openness on advanced experiences in the world. The delegation lauded reforms and development in Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty the King, voicing keenness on more cooperation between the two friendly countries.
