Public Security Chief Meets Heads of Arab Delegation's

Doha, January 29 (QNA) - The Director General of Public Security (DGPS) HE the Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi Sunday met with heads of interior ministry delegations from nine Arab countries at office in the Ministry of Interior (MoI). HE the DGPS conveyed to them greetings and wishes from the Minister of State for Interior Affairs HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the MoI announced. The visit was part of annual visits being organized to the police institutes and colleges in accordance with the decision of Arab Interior Ministers' Council to enhance the co-operation and exchange of the expertise between Arab police agencies. The Police Training Institute (PTI) received this morning 31 delegates from nine Arab countries. They include Algeria, Egypt, UAE, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Lebanon and Bahrain. The PTI Director Colonel Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mahanna Al Marri and heads of the sections received the delegates at the Institute today. A military parade was followed by introductory tour to the various sections of the Institute accompanied the PTI director. The delegates visited crime scene section, sports section, Leaders Development Centre and Languages Centre. The PTI director explained them the proposed Police Academy. Later, a film on the Institute was also screened. Col. Dr. Al Marri gave a presentation on the organizational structure of the Institute. The visitors were then taken on a tour to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The Secretary General of Permanent Committee on Drugs and Alcohol Affairs (PCDAA) explained about the department and its functions. (QNA)
