Princess Sabeeka patronises opening of Maharaja Wonders expo

Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), patronised today the opening of an exhibition themed "Maharaja Wonders: Royal Indian Fashion" at the Bahrain National Museum. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) is holding the expo as part of festivities marking the National and Accession Days. HRH Princess Sabeeka toured the exhibition's three pavilions which showcased an array of traditional Indian costumes for men and women. The exhibition, which will continue till April 15, 2016, sheds light on the history of the Indian textiles industry that has spanned for 4700 years. BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa extended thanks and gratitude to HRH Princess Sabeeka for patronising the opening of the exhibition, praising her constant support to the cultural movement in Bahrain.
