Prime Minister's Court President receives eGovernment Authority CEO

Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): Prime Minister's Court President Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa received today Chief Executive of the eGovernment Authority Mohammed Al Qaed. He lauded the authority's efforts in implementing the government's strategy aimed at boosting the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and preserving Bahrain's gains in the IT and communication field. The eGovernment Authority Chief Executive stressed that granting His Royal Highness the Prime Minister the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Sustainable Development Award by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is a global recognition of HRH the Premier's efforts to develop ICT in Bahrain as part of a comprehensive vision that has earned the kingdom a pioneering position in this vital sector. He praised HRH the Prime Minister's incessant support to the eGovernment Authority which resulted in many achievements that earned regional and international praise. He also pointed out that the meeting is part of preparations to present HRH the Premier with the top ITU honour in a major celebration in New York on September 26.
