President of Sudan JEM Thanks Qatar for Sponsoring Peace Efforts in Darfur

Doha, April 07 (QNA) - President of Sudan Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) Mohamed Bishr has expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to the Emir, government, and people of Qatar for sponsoring peace efforts in Darfur with patience and wisdom for the benefit of the people of Darfur and the region's stability and security. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on Sunday, he expressed his sincere gratitude to the efforts exerted by the State of Qatar under the leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the possibilities and atmosphere that Qatar provided to bring together Darfur parties for dialogue which led to peace and stability. President of the Justice and Equality Movement which signed last night the final agreement with the Sudanese government expressed his happiness that the said agreement would be a real addition to the Darfur Peace and its effects will be reflected on the cause of peace in the whole Sudan and on Darfur's development, reconstruction and prosperity. The Justice and Equality Movement, which joined the convoy of Doha Document for Peace in Darfur, has great potential and qualifications that enable it to comply with the terms of the agreement, Mohamed Bishr pointed out. In his statement to QNA, he stressed that the large crowd who witnessed the signing of the final agreement between the Sudanese government and the Justice and Equality Movement confirms the world's attention and support for the cause of peace in Darfur and the efforts undertaken and sponsored by Qatar for this noble goal. He added that they are on the verge of a real and comprehensive peace in Darfur and the presence of the world with them in Doha last night proves clearly that peace in Darfur has become of the focus of the international community. He reiterated that the Movement is fully committed to the agreement that signed with the Sudanese government and they will work diligently more than they are now to implement its provisions on the reality. He also called on all other armed movements to join Darfur's peace on the basis of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur to live in a real peace, stability and development. (QNA)
