A presidential statement stated: "During his meeting with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, President of the Republic Barham Saleh discussed the current situation regionally and internationally, ways of calm to maintain the security and stability of the region, the need for self-restraint and the primacy of the language of wisdom and dialogue to reduce tension and escalation ". Saleh stressed: "Iraq can be a factor for positive understanding and a point of stability and peace between regional and international powers, and supports the unification of efforts aimed at addressing the current crises so that the peoples of the region can enjoy peace and prosperity," noting: "The country will not be the starting point for any aggression against any neighboring country or an arena for a new war that drains the energies and capabilities of peoples. " For his part, the Qatari Foreign Minister stressed the sensitivity of the current situation, pointing to the importance of coordination and joint work with regional and international parties in order to reach peaceful solutions to preserve the security and stability of the region.
