President Sadyr Zhaparov receives CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas

Bishkek, Oct 6, 2022 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas. During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of ensuring regional security and stability, as well as interaction within the Organization. Noting that the current year is marked by the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Collective Security Treaty and the 20th anniversary of the creation of the CSTO, the head of state expressed regret that the anniversary year of the Organization is overshadowed by recent illegal and destructive actions by the CSTO member state - the Republic of Tajikistan. Sadyr Zhaparov told Stanislav Zas in detail about the armed aggression of Tajikistan, which resulted in the death of civilians and military personnel, as well as colossal destruction of civil and social infrastructure in the Batken region. The CSTO Secretary General, in turn, expressed his condolences in connection with the latest tragic events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. He expressed the readiness of the Organization to assist in resolving this crisis situation. The CSTO Secretary General also informed the head of state about the work to prepare for the upcoming meetings of the statutory bodies of the Organization and the session of the Collective Security Council, which are scheduled to be held in the fall of 2022 in the Republic of Armenia. Stanislav Zas also briefed Sadyr Zhaparov on the implementation of a number of individual instructions of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
