President Sadyr Zhaparov to pay official visit to Azerbaijan on April 19-20

Bishkek, April 18, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will pay an official visit to Baku on April 19-20 at the invitation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Head of the foreign policy department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev told that as part of the upcoming visit, Sadyr Zhaparov will hold bilateral talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The leaders of the countries will discuss topical issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for further development and building effective cooperation.During the visit, it is also planned to hold a bilateral meeting with chairman of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sagiba Gafarova. In addition, a meeting is planned with representatives of Azerbaijani business circles, during which information about Kyrgyzstan and the prospects for cooperation in the trade and investment sphere will be presented. The visit will take place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, as well as the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the countries. It is planned to sign a number of documents, in particular, the Declaration on strategic partnership, the Memorandum on the establishment of the Interstate Council, as well as intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements that meet the interests of states. Jeenbek Kulubaev expressed confidence that the upcoming visit will open up new opportunities for both countries.
