The President Receives The Credentials Of The New Saudi Ambassador To Iraq

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (NINA) - President of the Republic, Fuad Masum stressed Iraq's keenness to strengthen relations with Saudi Arabia in various fields to serve the interests of both countries and peoples. A statement issued by the presidential palace said that Masum received, at the Salam Palace in Baghdad, the credentials of the new Saudi ambassador to Baghdad, Abdul Aziz bin Khalid al-Shimmari. Where Masum and Iraqi people received the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and their wishes for steadily Rise and Highness to Iraq and for the relations between the two countries to develop and progress in all fields. The President stressed that Iraq is keen to strengthen relations with the Kingdom in various fields to serve the interests of the two countries and two peoples and help in the stability and peace of the region, explaining the important role that can be played by the Ambassador in Baghdad and the Ambassador of Iraq in Riyadh in this area. He stressed the need to work in the economic and security aspects, especially in the fight against terrorism, pointing to Iraq's contribution with neighboring countries in protecting the region from extremist thought and terrorist action. In this regard, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation and pride for what Iraq has done in its war against terrorism, saying "The Iraqi people have fought on behalf of the whole world against terrorism, and the whole world is grateful for what Iraq has done," He also pointed out his country's keenness to work for the next stage to witness a remarkable development in various fields. In conclusion, the President of the Republic asked the new Ambassador Abdul Aziz bin Khalid Al-Shimmari to convey his greetings and wishes to His Majesty the King, His Highness the Crown Prince and the people of Saudi Arabia, expressed readiness to provide everything for the success of his diplomatic work in Iraq./ End
