President Receives The Credentials Of The New Russian Ambassador To Iraq

BAGHDAD / NINA / President Fuad Masum received today credentials of the new Russian ambassador to Iraq, Maxim Maximov. Masum, during receiving credentials of the new Ambassador of Russia, according to a presidential statement, confirmed the depth of the historical relations with Russia, stressing the importance of strengthening the links and relationships of constructive bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly in the cultural, military fields and academic exchanges, and expand the investments of Russian companies in Iraq. He also praised the positions of Russia in supporting Iraq, especially in the war led on behalf of the world against terrorism.
