President Meets Czech Republic's Ambassador

BAGHDAD / NINA / President Fuad Masum confirmed that Iraq has historical relations with the Czech Republic as a friend. Masum, during a meeting today at the Salam Palace in Baghdad with the Ambassador of Czech Republic, Alexander Lanker on the occasion of ending his tenure, according to a presidential statement, pointed "to the early aspirations of the Czech people to freedom, expressing Iraq's readiness to strengthen ties and relations of constructive bilateral cooperation in all fields. Masum appreciated, "what Lanker had done during his time as ambassador of his country in Iraq, and wished him success in his new duties.
