Baghdad / NINA / - The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, stressed that international solidarity is necessary to confront global challenges, foremost of which is the fight against terrorism and extremism. Salih said during his meeting with the Estonian Defense Minister Kalle Laanet, that "Iraq is looking forward to strengthening its political, economic and trade relations, and stresses the importance of international and regional solidarity in order to confront various global challenges, foremost of which is combating terrorism and extremism, easing tensions and establishing peace in the region." During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries and ways of developing them, enhancing cooperation in the field of security and defense, as well as reviewing the prospects for trade, economic and cultural cooperation./End
