Premier congratulates King on FEI honour

Manama, Dec.8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa today received the President of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI), Ingmar De Vos, at Gudaibiya Palace marking his visit to Bahrain. The Premier extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the FEI decoration, in acknowledgement of his role in developing the equestrian sport. He credited HM the King for the strides of the equestrian sport in Bahrain, which earned the Kingdom outstanding achievements in regional and international arenas. "The equestrian sport is an integral part of Bahrain's long-standing heritage and authentic Arab culture, which was passed down from generation to generation", he said. He commended the role of the Royal Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) in promoting the sport and enhancing Bahrain's standing in regional and international championships. De Vos thanked HRH the Premier for the warm welcome, hailing his keenness on promoting the equestrian sport which earned Bahrain advanced ranks in regional and international championships.
