PM pleased with Thai-Indonesian relations

BANGKOK, December 29 (TNA) - Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has expressed her satisfaction with Thai-Indonesian relations and promised to further boost bilateral partnership for the interest of people in both countries. On an occasion Premier Yingluck received a farewell call from Indonesian Ambassador Mohammad Hatta, who is concluding his three-year-and-a-half mission in Thailand, at Government House in Bangkok Thursday, Yingluck said that she is satisfied with bilateral relations between Thailand and Indonesia which are close in all dimensions and at all levels, especially after the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to express the determinations of both nations. The outgoing Indonesian top envoy in Bangkok thanked the Thai prime minister and the Thai government for their good cooperation with him and also mentioned stronger relations between Thailand and Indonesia after bilateral talks between the Thai prime minister and Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono during the latest Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit on the Indonesian Bali Island recently, expressing his hope that Bangkok and Jakarta will further expand their bilateral ties and cooperation for the sake of their people and countries' interests. The Thai premier and the Indonesian ambassador also agreed to promote democracy, human rights, the rule of laws and good governance and to support the cooperation and development of both countries and the establishment of the ASEAN Single Community by 2015.
