PM Extends Best Wishes to New Japanese Emperor

BANGKOK, May 2 (TNA) - Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha signed his name in a well-wishing book on the occasion of Japan having its new emperor. Gen Prayut, also chief of the National Council for Peace and Order, visited the Japanese embassy on Wireless Road for the purpose. The Japanese ambassador to Thailand welcomed him there. The Japanese embassy in Bangkok stated on its website that it prepared well-wishing books for people to sign at 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm from May 1 to 3 on the occasion of Japanese Crown Prince Naruhito’s ascension to be the new and 126th emperor of Japan. People interested in the signing must present their identity documents to security guards at the gate of the consular affairs building at the Japanese embassy. (TNA)
