Plenary meeting of Uzbek senate started in Tashkent

The eighth plenary meeting of the Senate of Oliy Majlis - the upper house of Uzbek parliament started in Tashkent, correspondent of Trend reports.
The agenda of the plenary meeting of the Senate includes a number of bills directed at reforming and liberalization of all spheres of political and social economic life, the report says.
They include the laws "On making amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On guarantees of freedom of entrepreneurship", " On making amendments and additions to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the exchange of credit information" and a number of other laws envisaging the continued support and entrepreneurship development, democratization of state power and administration, reforming the judicial system, developed in accordance with the concept of further deepening of democratic reforms and formation of civil society in the country.
Along with this the plenary meeting of the Senate will discuss the reports on activities of the country's public prosecution bodies in 2011, the Accounting Chamber, Authorized Person of the Oliy Majlis for human rights (Ombudsman), the State Committee for Nature Protection.
Senators will also consider the information of the justice minister on the state of observance of the laws by state departments, law enforcement agencies and regulatory agencies in 2011.
The next plenary meeting is also scheduled to hold parliamentary hearings on the fulfillment of program to create jobs and ensure population's employment by the Labor and Social Security Ministry.
