Pilgrims urged to register early

Manama, June 21 (BNA): Head of Bahrain Hajj Mission Shaikh Adnan bin Abdullah Al Qattan has called on those who wish to perform hajj this year, to register before Ramadan 20 (July 7). Hajj hopefuls should sign up with one of the hajj operators licensed by the ministry, in compliance with the requirements of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj.
Al Qattan said that Hajj operators were instructed to inform those who wish to perform Hajj on the necessity of early registration.
He expressed hope that pilgrims will understand this request of registering before Ramadan 20, through the Saudi e-track monitoring system, which was created by the Hajj authorities in Saudi Arabia in order to organise and facilitate pilgrims' safety and security.
He said that pilgrims who register after Ramadan 20 might face obstacles, since Hajj campaigns are obligated to conclude service agreements with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to the number of registered pilgrims, along with the housing services and visiting holy places.
Al Qattan expressed hope that Hajj operators and those who wish to perform Hajj will appreciate the significance of the registration and cooperate.
