Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee denounces Iranian interference

Manama, July 25 (BNA): Head of the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Abdullah bin Hewil underlined denunciation of the Representatives Council of Iran’s interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs, demanding the Foreign Ministry to act to report the issue to the United Nations and the Arab League and recall the Bahraini ambassador from the Iranian capital Tehran.
Speaking at a press conference held today by the Foreign Affairs Committee at the parliament, he condemned the recent offensive statements by Iran despite Bahrain’s continuous keenness to bolster relations with it. He demanded the Foreign Ministry to send a protest letter to the UN for clarifications of the recent and precedent statements by the Iranian officials.
Meanwhile, MP Jamal Bu Hassan said the Representatives Council categorically rejects foreign interference in the internal affairs of Bahrain or any other country, demanding the Interior Ministry and the Justice Ministry to take tough measures to deter those showing double allegiance.
MP Bu Hassan also denounced the recent statements by Iraqi Vice President Nouri Al Maliki against Saudi Arabia, stressing solidarity with it.
