Parliament secretariat-general wins Arab golden award

Manama, Sept. 18 (BNA): The Secretariat-General of the Council of Representatives has won the "Golden Award" at the Arab level for its excellence in providing parliamentary services through smart phone applications, granted by the Dubai-based Arab Organisation for Social Responsibility. The Secretariat-General will be honoured during the Pan Arab Mobile Application Awards ceremony, to be held in Dubai in November, 2015. The Secretary-General of the Councilof Representatives Abdulla Al-Dossary congratulated Speaker Ahmed Al-Mulla, and hailed his constant support and directives to enhance performance and deliver the best services for MPs, as the best means to consolidate the council's legislative and supervisory role within the Reform Project and the democratic process spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. It is worth noting that the Representatives Council's Secretariat-General has recently launched a number of services on social media networks, and is preparing to launch a new-look multi-lingual website.
