Palestine Appreciates Indonesian Halal Producs

Jakarta, Jan 18 (Antara) - Palestinian Foreign Affairs Minister Riad Al Maliki said that Palestine appreciated Indonesian products because of their quality and halal assurance, according to a statement on Tuesday from the Indonesian embassy. The minister added that the number of Indonesian products consumed in Palestine is gradually increasing. Maliki appreciates the efforts taken by the Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan and Palestine, Teguh Wardoyo, in improving economic relations, tourism and trade between the two countries. These significant economic improvements are reflected in the increased ties between Indonesia and Palestine, and it has led both countries on the right track, the minister said. Meanwhile, the Indonesian ambassador also stressed the importance of sharing economic expertise in order to improve the economy of the Palestinian state. Maliki said Palestine has a national development policy to empower those with expert knowledge, both inside and outside the country, from various fields such as medicine, engineering, agriculture and information technology. Palestine also has a list of experts that he says can help people in other countries from around the world. Ambassador Wardoyo further stated that the Palestinian government can mobilize its peoples' potential through initiatives such as the Palestinian National Cooperation Agency. He added that Indonesia is always ready to assist and facilitate all programs that aim to support the development and improvement of the Palestinian state, as well as to strengthen cooperation on trade and tourism for the benefit of both countries.
