Overall number of travelers grew by 8% in 2015

Manama, Jan.13- (BNA): The overall number of people who travelled in and out of Bahrain increased by 8% last year to top 28, 901, 108, compared with the statistics posted in 2014. The King Fahd Causeway reported a major bulk of 23,664,729 people who arrived in Bahrain or travelled abroad via the strategic artery bonding Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) Assistant Undersecretary for Exits, Search and Follow-up Brigadier Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Ghatam announced the updated figures, attributing the tangible rise in the number of travelers to the state of security, stability and good reputation of Bahrain. He paid tribute to the wise leadership for the directives to streamline procedures, provide all facilities and process instant visas at different entry points, which contributed to boosting the movement of travelers.
