Over 62 thsd of meat produced in Kyrgyzstan in February

More than 62 thousand tons of meat were produced in Kyrgyzstan in this February, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic said on Wednesday. On Feb. 1-28, economic entities of the republic produced 62.1 tons of meat in live weight, which is 1 thousand 381 tons, or 2.3% more compared to the same period last year. "Meat production has increased in all regions of the republic, except for Batken Oblast, where decrease is due to a decline in the number of cattle. It is related to the migration of people and the high cost of feed,” the report said. The highest rate of meat production compared to the corresponding period of the last year is observed in farms of Issyk-Kul (113.2%), Naryn (101.8%) and Jalal-Abad (102.0%) Oblasts.
