An Ottoman ship's wreckage hauled out in Red Sea

JEDDAH (A.A) - December 15, 2011 - Wreckage of an Ottoman ship was hauled out off Qunfudah port in Red Sea. According to Arab Al Madina newspaper, the ship had been sunken by Italian warships in 1909 off Qunfudah port which was 400 kilometers away from Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia.  Following the efforts which cost 800,000 USD, officials hauled out the wreckage off Qunfudah which was under the rule of Ottoman Empire in the past. Historians said that the ship was docked in Qunfudah port, adding that it would be preserved in the port.
