Official visit of Kyrgyz president to Azerbaijan completed

Bishkek, April 21, 2022. / Kabar /. An official visit of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to Azerbaijan on April 19-20 has come to an end. On the first day of the official visit, the Kyrgyz leader visited the Alley of Honor in Baku, paying tribute to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and his spouse Zarifa Aliyeva. The Kyrgyz delegation also paid tribute to fallen heroes of Azerbaijan buried in the Alley of martyrs. On April 20, the Zugulba Presidential Palace in Baku hosted a ceremony of official meeting of Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The Kyrgyz leader was welcomed by the guard of honor. Following the ceremony, the two leaders held face-to-face talks and then extended format negotiations. The presidents discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including cooperation in trade and economic, cultural, humanitarian and investment spheres. Following the talks, 10 bilateral documents and agreements aimed at deepening joint cooperation were signed.The most important document was the Declaration on Strategic Partnership, which brings cooperation between the two countries to a new level. After the talks, Presdient Zhaparov held a meeting with representatives of large business community of Azerbaijan, whom he urged to invest in large and promising projects in the mining industry, hydropower, agriculture, etc.The meeting included signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Export and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO). The Kyrgyz presdient also met with Chair of the Milli Majlis Sagiba Ali gyzy Gafarova. The meeting discussed topical issues of bilateral political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian and inter-parliamentary cooperation.Having completed the official visit, Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on April 20.
