Northern governor receives UAE ambassador

Manama, Mar. 10. (BNA) – Northern Governor Ali bin Al-Shaikh Abdul Hussain Al-Asfoor received here today the newly-appointed UAE Ambassador to Bahrain Abdul Ridha Abdulla Khoury. The Governor congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to his post. He appreciated and expressed pride in the outstanding deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly countries, and the fundamentals they share within the Gulf Cooperation Council, praising the steady progress of bilateral ties thanks to the interest of their leaderships to constantly strengthen them. He asserted that the ambassador's long diplomatic experience would reflect positively on bilateral relations, recalling UAE's support to Bahrain. He wished Ambassador Abdul Ridha Abdulla Khoury every success in assuming his diplomatic duties for the interests of the two brotherly countries. He also presented him a commemorative shield carrying the Northern Governorate's slogan "We are all partners in peace."
