Nikita Mikhalkov proposes to create Eurasian Oscar in EAEU space

A look into the future” within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Forum proposed to create a Eurasian Oscar and a film academy in the EAEU. He said that the films that are in line with our ideology, and not destroy the human essence can participate in it. “The award should be expensive, the contenders should fight for it. Each year, it will include one film that was not produced in the Eurasian space, but that complies with our principles. I am convinced that this is very necessary for the political development of the Eurasian space. This should be decided at the highest level. This is a mechanism of political self-defense of the essence of Eurasianism,” he said. The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The Eurasian Economic Forum has started in Bishkek on Thursday. The forum is held in the state that chairs the EAEU agencies. The chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union passed to Kyrgyzstan in 2022.
