NIHR president receives Chilean ambassador

Manama, Jan. 25 (BNA): President of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Dr. Abdulaziz Hassan Abul, received the Ambassador of Chile Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Jean-Paul Tarud-Kuborn. Dr. Abul thanked the Chilean ambassador for his visit and expressed the Institution's desire to activate the bilateral cooperation, especially the exchange of expertise, training and workshops to consolidate and protect human rights. The ambassador praised the role undertaken by the National Institution of Human Rights in the community aimed to boost human rights. He also praised NIHR's second annual report for the year 2014. He expressed his readiness to provide all support that enables the National Institution to achieve its objectives and jurisdictions. Fareed Ghazi Jassim Rafia the head of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee; Maria Khouri the head of Complaints, Monitoring and Follow up Committee; and, Ali Jassim the Director of Training and Enlightenment attended the meeting from the National Institution's side.
