NIHR chairperson receives UK ambassador

Manama, Nov. 16 (BNA): Chairperson of National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Dr. Abdul Aziz Hassan Ali Abul received here today the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain Simon Martin. Dr. Abdul expressed aspiration to activate joint cooperation in the field of exchanging expertise and holding workshops aimed at promoting and protecting human rights. The ambassador expressed thanks to NIHR for its role in the society that aims to enhancing the human rights and expressed his readiness to support NIHR at achieving and terms of reference. The meeting was attended by NIHR Vice Chairperson Abdulla Al-Derazi, Head of the Complaints, Monitoring and Follow-up Committee Maria Khoury and Deputy Secretary-General Yasser Ghanem Shaheen.
