NHRC Holds Annual Labour Campaign

Doha, May 01 (QNA) - The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) today conducted a number of activities as part of its annual labour campaign under held this year under the theme, "Keep your Rights", which coincided with the International Labour Day. On the occasion, the NHRC provided workers in a labour camps in the industrial area with quiz leaflets available in Arabic and English and gave them gifts. In a press statement, Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chief of the Public Relations and Media, NHRC said that this annual campaign aims at raising awareness among expat-labour in Qatar. NHRC legal experts will visit the communities of labor-exporting countries and deliver lectures on workers' rights, while the major shopping malls and centers in Doha such as Lulu Hypermarket, the City Center, and Landmark take part in the Campaign, he added.
