New Suez Canal represents Arab development solidarity

Manama, Aug 6 (BNA): Deputy Chairman and Executive Director of Isa Cultural Centre (ICC), Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, , in a statement marking the new Suez Canal opening, highlighted the solid historical Gulf-Arab relations based on the joint development solidarity. Shaikh Khalid said that the GCC contributions, chiefly the United Arab Emirates', have greatly contributed to strengthening the Arab-Arab cooperation in various fields. He noted the historical Egyptian leading role in defending the Arab interests, which makes a key motive for the GCC countries to support Egypt's development efforts and bolstering its sustainability. He pointed out that ICC intends to establish a cultural partnership with the Library of Alexandria with the aim of exchanging knowledge and expertise.
