NEW PUBLIC SCHOOLS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

34 new public schools are planned to be built this year, with the investment from the state budget and non-refundable aids of the governments of Japan and China. Presently, the sites of the schools to be built with the non-refundable aid of Chinese Government are determined and the construction work of four schools began in April. Schools with capacity of 960, 640 and 920 children are currently under construction in 12th khoroo of Bayanzurkh district, 25th and 26th khoroos of Songinokhairkhan district respectively. Also, companies to build schools with capacity of 920 children in 15th khoroo of Khan-Uul district and 640 children in 6th khoroo of Songinokhairkhan district are being selected. The construction works are planned to be completed by September 1, 2019. In addition, with the non-refundable aid of the Government of Japan, two public schools and two school extensions will be built in Ulaanbaatar from 2018 to 2020. Japanese side chose the construction company in June and construction works will begin in August. These include schools with capacity of 920 children in 2nd khoroo of Khan-Uul district and 720 children in 7th khoroo of Chingeltei district and extension for 53rd school in Bayanzurkh district and 109th school in Nalaikh district.
