Nava Nakorn launches "big cleaning"
PATHUM THANI, December 15 (TNA) - Factories at the Navanakorn Industrial Promotion Zone have begun their "big cleaning up" after floods at the industrial site in Bangkok's suburban Pathum Thani Province have receded.
General Chainarong Noonphakdee, board chairman of Nava Nakorn Public Co., Ltd, the operator of the Navanakorn Industrial Promotion Zone, said that all the 227 factories at the Navanakorn Industrial Promotion Zone and people living nearby are joining in the three-day scheme, starting from December 14.
General Chainarong expressed his optimism that manufacturing plants at the Navanakorn Industrial Promotion Zone could resume their operations by next January 10.
Meanwhile, Setsuo Iuchi, President of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Thailand has confirmed with Thai Labour Minister Phadermchai Sasomsab that Japan will not withdraw investment projects from Thailand, despite the country's flooding crisis over the past couple of months. (TNA)
