National Health Strategy Forum to Kick Off Wednesday

Doha, May 28 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Vice Chairperson of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), the National Health Strategy Forum is to be held on Wednesday to openly review and discuss the achievements and challenges faced in implementing the National Health Strategy 2011 2016 (NHS) at its first anniversary. Organized by the SCH, the NHS annual forum will be held this year under the theme: "Year One: Achievements and Challenges" at Katara Cultural Village. A particular focus of the event is to engage both health community and public in discussion around the overall program, and the specific NHS projects such as the Health Insurance scheme. The forum will illuminate the NHS work over the last year through the voices of our esteemed panel which includes Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation. The forum represents an annual health check for the National Health Strategy which details how the health sector is responding to the Qatar's National Development Strategy 2011 2016 (NDS) and contribution to the achievement of the Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030). The National Health Strategy 2011-2016 (NHS) is one of 14 sector strategies under the NDS, and can be viewed as a yet another significant step for Qatar, a country intent on matching its high ambitions with sound strategic planning and delivery.
