National Action Charter embodies leadership, people cohesion

Kuwait, Feb. 13 (BNA): Dean of the diplomatic corps, Kuwaiti ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Azam Mubarak Al Sabah said today that the National Action Charter in Bahrain embodies cohesion and unity between the leadership and citizens for it is a real translation of national consensus. Speaking to Kuwaiti News Agency, marking the 15 anniversary of the National Action Charter in Bahrain tomorrow Sunday, he stressed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has founded a new approach based on hard work and the modernisation of the state’s authorities and institutions in order to achieve people’s aspirations. He added the public referendum on the charter gained people’s approval by a sweeping majority of 98.4% which earned the new approach local and international praise. He noted that ever since HM the King’s accession to the throne, Bahrain has witnessed a quality leap in various areas. He lauded the climate of democracy and freedom in Bahrain thanks to the royal keenness on popular participation in the national development march so as to ensure a brighter and more prosperous future for present and future generations.
